Bahikhowa Dasarath Dowerah Borphukan was the
'Borphukan' (Chief of the Army Staff of Ahoms) during the reign of Rajeswar
Singha. Borphukan 'maidam' is found in the 'Khowang' Tea Estate but at
present it is in a dilapidated condition. Near this huge 'maidam' are three
other smaller 'maidams' and moreover several other 'maidams' are also to be
found in its nearly places.
